Choose the Correct reComputer R Series Guide

The reComputer R Series includes commercial Raspberry Pi 5 systems and industrial CM5 systems. Identify the product before flashing an image, changing PCIe settings, or installing an accelerator driver.

1. Read the product label

Record the complete product name and suffix. The suffix distinguishes memory, storage, connectivity, and whether an AI accelerator is included. Do not rely only on the R Series, R2000, or CM5 family name.

These facts determine the correct flashing procedure, device tree, driver, HailoRT release, HEF, and container image. Hailo-8 and Hailo-10H software artifacts are not interchangeable.

  • For a standard Raspberry Pi 5 product, use the R2000 guide for hardware and boot preparation.
  • For a CM5 product, follow the exact industrial product guide and the CM5 flashing procedure before applying generic Raspberry Pi instructions.
