Safety Notes
Robotic arms are powered equipment. Incorrect operation may cause pinching, collisions, equipment damage, or property loss. Complete the following checks before the first power-on and before every data collection, action replay, and model execution.
Pre-Run Safety Check
Section titled “Pre-Run Safety Check”- Make sure the workbench is stable and level, the robotic arm base is securely fixed, and the mounting screws are not visibly loose.
- Keep people, clutter, fragile objects, and equipment that could be struck outside the robotic arm’s motion range. Establish a restricted area when necessary.
- Make sure USB, CAN, power, and camera cables are not pulled, pinched, or tangled; all connectors are firmly seated; and no cable enters the arm’s motion path.
- Make sure the gripper, end effector, and payload are securely installed and do not exceed the applicable weight or size limits.
- Avoid use in high-humidity, highly corrosive, or strongly vibrating environments. Confirm that the device is not overheating and has no unusual odor or visible damage.
Handling Abnormal Conditions
Section titled “Handling Abnormal Conditions”If you notice unusual noise, continuous vibration, joint step loss, overheating, smoke, an unusual odor, or uncontrolled motion during operation, stop the current task immediately. After the arm has stopped, disconnect power and inspect the power supply, cables, port binding, calibration state, and mechanical structure. Do not repeatedly restart the system until the cause has been identified.
Precautions During Operation
Section titled “Precautions During Operation”Treat the robotic arm, gripper, and all end effectors as motion hazards. Do not place hands or any other body part within the arm’s motion range while it is moving.
- Always clear the robotic arm workspace before running, collecting data, or replaying actions.
- Do not move the leader arm quickly or over a large range during teleoperation or model execution.
- Do not disconnect USB, CAN, power cables, or mechanical parts while the robotic arm is moving.
- Before using the B601 RS “unlimited speed” option, confirm that the leader and follower arm postures are consistent and the workspace is safe.
- Before replaying an action, move the follower arm to a safe neutral posture.
- Training data should remain task-consistent. Large differences in object position, camera angle, lighting, or motion rhythm can reduce model performance.
- If motor overload, follower arm no response, reverse following, or stuttering occurs, stop the current task and check power supply, cables, port binding, and calibration.
