From Mesh Networks to Embodied AI: Join Seeed Studio at Three Hands-On Workshops in France

Join Seeed Studio’s free, community-focused workshops in France to explore mesh networking, CodeCraft, robotics, and embodied AI through hands-on activities.

Join Seeed Studio at Three Hands-On Workshops in France

This September, Seeed Studio is bringing three hands-on workshops to France for makers, developers, educators, students, researchers, startups, and robotics enthusiasts.

Across Toulouse and Paris-Saclay, participants will explore two practical directions in physical AI and connected hardware: building and customizing decentralized mesh devices with CodeCraft, and developing embodied AI applications through an integrated robotics workflow.

Each workshop is limited to 20 participants. Bring your laptop and be ready to build.

1. Build and Customize a Mesh IoT Device at RoseLab

Free mesh networking and CodeCraft workshop at RoseLab in Toulouse, France

What happens when mobile networks or the Internet are unavailable?

In this morning workshop at RoseLab, participants will explore how decentralized devices can exchange messages and location information without relying on public network infrastructure. The session combines an introduction to mesh networking with a practical hardware customization workflow using CodeCraft, Seeed Studio’s browser-based AI coding assistant for hardware.

Instead of beginning with a complex local development environment, participants can describe the intended hardware behavior, generate a first implementation, deploy it to the device, observe the result, and refine it.

Date: September 19, 2026

Time: 10:00–11:30 AM

Venue: RoseLab, 55 Av. Louis Bréguet, 31400 Toulouse, France

Capacity: 20 participants

Registration: Reserve a seat

2. Explore Embodied AI and Robotics at RoseLab

Free embodied AI and robotics workshop at RoseLab in Toulouse, France

The afternoon session moves from connected devices to embodied intelligence.

Hosted at RoseLab during France Design Week, this workshop introduces a hands-on workflow for developing robotics and embodied AI applications. Participants will explore how software, AI, sensors, and physical movement come together in a working robotic system.

The workshop is designed for people who are curious about robotics but want to spend more time building and testing instead of configuring multiple development tools. No prior coding experience is required for the planned workshop activities, although participants with technical backgrounds can also use the session to explore the workflow in more depth.

Date: September 19, 2026

Time: 1:30–5:00 PM

Venue: RoseLab, 55 Av. Louis Bréguet, 31400 Toulouse, France

Capacity: 20 participants

Registration: Reserve a seat

3. Take the Mesh Workshop to Université Paris-Saclay

Free mesh networking and CodeCraft workshop at Université Paris-Saclay, France

The mesh networking workshop continues the following week at Fablab Université Paris-Saclay.

Participants will explore the same core challenge: how independently operated devices can exchange useful information when conventional mobile or Internet connectivity is unavailable. The workshop then moves into hands-on customization with CodeCraft, allowing participants to define and adjust the behavior of a physical mesh device through an AI-assisted hardware development workflow.

The session offers a practical entry point for students, researchers, educators, makers, and developers interested in resilient communications, IoT prototyping, and human-centered hardware design.

Date: September 25, 2026

Time: 2:00–3:30 PM

Venue: Fablab Université Paris-Saclay, Digiteo Labs – Bâtiment 660, 91190 Gif-sur-Yvette, France

Capacity: 20 participants

Registration: Reserve a seat

What Participants Will Explore

The exact activities differ between the robotics and mesh sessions, but all three workshops share a practical approach:

  1. Start with a real hardware goal.
  2. Describe the intended behavior clearly.
  3. Generate or configure a first working version.
  4. Deploy it to physical hardware.
  5. Observe, test, and improve the result.

The workshops are demonstrations of practical development workflows, not promises that every project will work without testing. Hardware behavior, network conditions, device configuration, and generated code still need to be reviewed during the build process.

Who Should Join?

These workshops are suitable for:

  • Makers and hardware enthusiasts
  • Robotics and IoT developers
  • Students and researchers
  • Teachers, FabLab teams, and workshop facilitators
  • Startups exploring rapid hardware prototyping
  • Designers interested in interactive and embodied systems

Seats are limited to 20 participants per session. Choose the workshop that best matches your interests—or join both Toulouse sessions to explore connected hardware in the morning and embodied intelligence in the afternoon.
